Bunabwile Mixed Farmers Association — Growing Together in Manafwa

About Bunabwile Mixed Farmers Association

A farmer-led cooperative driving practical change across Bunabwile and neighbouring villages.

Founded in Bunabwile Village, Manafwa, our association turns smallholder knowledge and shared action into reliable harvests and steadier incomes. Farmers join to buy certified inputs in bulk, learn practical crop, livestock and oyster mushroom techniques, and access group savings and small loans that keep farms running through the seasons.

We focus on hands‑on training, value‑addition projects and collective marketing so members earn more from their work. Our approach is local and results‑oriented: transparent savings, clear commissions on group sales, and regular training sessions that help households improve food security and build resilient incomes.

Our approach

Our mission
To empower smallholder farmers in Bunabwile and neighbouring villages to improve production, incomes and food security through practical training, collective purchasing, and group marketing.

We combine hands‑on extension, bulk input procurement and peer learning so members access quality seeds, affordable fertiliser and livestock support. By training farmers in modern crop, poultry and mushroom techniques and organising joint sales, we make farming more productive and profitable for families across Manafwa.

Our vision
A resilient farming community in Bunabwile where families share knowledge, save together, and earn fair value for their produce.

We envision thriving smallholder farms across Bumulekhwa Parish and neighbouring subcounties — where members adopt better practices, build small businesses like milling or mushroom production, and use collective bargaining to access markets and stable incomes.
